Frequently Asked Questions
Sunday Health is a medical practice dedicated to preventive, diagnostic, and ongoing cognitive care for older adults. Our clinical team provides patient-centered care and education, empowering older adults to maintain cognitive health and independence as they age.
At Sunday Health, patients receive compassionate virtual care from a dedicated team that includes neurologists, geriatric nurse practitioners, and care navigators, all without long wait times or rushed visits.
To refer a patient, you can:
- Contact our care team at (571) 517-1564
- Fax your referral to (833) 740-4348
We are accepting patients who reside in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. Sunday Health’s clinical services are a timely, high-quality option for older adults who:
- Are experiencing early symptoms that may indicate cognitive decline and need a thorough evaluation (e.g., raised concerns during an Annual Wellness Visit or screened positive during a cognitive screening).
- Have a family history of dementia and want to assess their risk and learn how to promote their brain health,
- Are simply curious about their brain health and how they can be proactive about cognitive wellness.
We're committed to ensuring that all patients can easily access their virtual visits with their care team. While patients do need access to a device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) with an internet or cellular connection,
- Our process starts with a telephone call between the patient and a Sunday Health care navigator.
- During that call, we conduct a digital health literacy screen to evaluate the patient’s comfort and experience with virtual care.
- Our nurse care navigators help patients access their online assessments, explain how to join the virtual visit, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
Sunday Health accepts Medicare Part B for our cognitive health services.
- For patients with Medicare Part B coverage, there are no fees beyond standard Medicare copayments or deductibles.
- If patients have a Medicare Supplemental Insurance (Medigap) plan, that plan would likely cover most or all of the copayment.
We expect to add more insurance plans soon.
Our telehealth platform and all associated systems are designed and maintained in accordance with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations. This means we employ strict protocols to safeguard patients’ personal health information.
