Our name embodies warmth, preparation, and optimism. Sundays are often spent joyfully with loved ones, and at the same time, they can also bring anxiety about the week ahead.
Similarly, cognitive concerns can showcase the love among family and friends who often act as tireless care partners to individuals living with Mild Cognitive Impairment or dementia, and they can generate anxiety as individuals worry that their memory or thinking skills aren’t what they used to be.
That’s why Sunday Health’s approach integrates clinical expertise, education, and emotional support to empower individuals and families.
At Sunday Health, you receive virtual care (in-person appointments available at our Vienna, VA location) from a dedicated care team, including neurologists, geriatric nurse practitioners, and care navigators. No long wait times. No rushed visits.
Models and Services
Sunday Health is designed for individuals seeking expert cognitive care, whether for early detection, prevention, or management of mild cognitive impairment and mild dementia.
Our services are ideal if you are experiencing memory concerns, want to be proactive about brain health, or need a specialized care plan tailored to cognitive wellness.
If you're unsure, our team can help assess your needs and guide you toward the right care options.
We primarily deliver care via live video (Zoom) and phone calls so that you can speak with our clinicians from the comfort and privacy of your own home. All services are provided through secure, HIPAA-compliant platforms, accessible to individuals with varying levels of technological skills.
Our brain tests and assessments are research-backed and clinically validated. They can be conducted online without compromising quality and accuracy.
In the Northern Virginia area? We are now offering in-person appointments at 8320 Old Courthouse Road, Suite 401, Vienna, Virginia, 22182.
We are committed to ensuring that all patients can easily access their virtual visits with their care team.
While patients participating in virtual visits do need access to a device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) with an internet or cellular connection,
- Our process starts with a telephone call between you and a Sunday Health care navigator.
- During that call, we ask questions about your comfort and experience with virtual care.
- Our care navigator can help you access your online assessments, explain how to join the virtual visit, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Preparing for Appointments
If you need to share medical records with Sunday Health, our team can provide you with a secure form to submit copies.
Please contact our office and we will guide you through the process to ensure your records are transferred safely and efficiently.
We strongly encourage completing all of your questionnaires and online assessments before your first visit, but they are optional.
These initial forms provide valuable information that helps our clinician prepare for your appointment and make the most of your time together.
If you're unable to complete them beforehand, please notify our team, and we will assist you in completing them prior to or during your visit.
At Sunday Health, we know that loved ones often play an essential role in supporting our patients’ health and well-being. You can choose to have your loved ones attend your video, phone, and in-person appointments.
With your permission, your loved ones can receive updates on your health, medications, and test results, and they can communicate with your care team to understand and help support your cognitive health.
In some cases, we may encourage or require involving a family member or loved one. Here is why:
- More Accurate Assessment: Cognitive changes can be subtle, and you may not always notice how they affect your daily life. Multiple perspectives help us form a complete picture.
- Personalized Care Plan: Because a loved one can offer valuable insights about your everyday experiences, we can tailor our recommendations to address your specific needs.
- Better Communication: This approach fosters a shared understanding of your health among you, your loved one, and our healthcare team.
- Emotional Support: Having a trusted person involved can provide comfort during this process.
Insurance and Billing
We currently accept Medicare Part B (also known as Original Medicare), Medicare Supplemental (Medigap), Medicare Advantage under most major plans, and other insurance, including Aetna, Anthem, CareFirst, and Cigna, for patients in DC, MD, and VA.
If our services are in-network with your insurance plan, there are no extra out-of-pocket costs beyond your standard co-pay.
We also offer self-pay options, which you can explore here.
Please contact our office with any insurance eligibility questions. You can call us at (571) 517-1564 or email us at hello@sundayhealth.com.
Our practice is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM.
It depends on your insurance plan. Some insurance providers require a referral or prior authorization for specialist visits, while others do not. We recommend checking with your insurance company to confirm your specific requirements. If a referral or authorization is needed, our team will work with you as we determine your benefits eligibility.
Yes, Sunday Health offers self-pay options with transparent pricing, which you can view by clicking here.
If you have out-of-network benefits through your insurance plan, we can provide you with the documentation (“superbill”). For select self-pay packages, we also accept FSA/HSA payments.
We understand that schedules can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Please contact our office as soon as possible if you need to make changes to your appointment.
Depending on your insurance plan, you may have a copay and/or a remaining balance toward your deductible. If you have a balance, you will receive an electronic statement through email or a secure portal message.
You can pay your balance in one of two ways:
1. Online: Use the link provided in your electronic statement.
2. By Phone: Call our office to make a payment.
We recommend that all patients check with their insurance provider to confirm coverage and benefits for their visits. If you have any questions, our team is here to help!
Coverage varies by insurance plan, but some services may not be covered, including certain cognitive wellness programs, preventive cognitive health assessments, and personalized coaching or lifestyle interventions.
Additionally, some advanced diagnostic tests and out-of-network services may require out-of-pocket payment.
We recommend checking with your insurance provider for details on your specific coverage.
Upon your request, your Sunday Health care navigator can provide you with an itemized receipt (“superbill”) for potential insurance reimbursement for the fees associated with your telehealth visits. If you have out-of-network benefits through your insurance plan, you can submit the superbill to your insurer for potential reimbursement.
As Sunday Health cannot guarantee that your insurer will partially or fully reimburse you, we encourage you to contact the number on the back of your insurance card for guidance on your plan’s out-of-network benefits and reimbursement policies.
You may use your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for your Sunday Health telehealth visits.
However, individuals are responsible for working with their FSA/HSA provider to confirm that the services fall into the plan’s allowable expenses (“qualified medical expenses”).
